Rabbit Savvy Vets

We are often asked to recommend someone who has more than a general understanding of rabbits - the real rabbit specialist who has a genuine interest and up to date knowledge. Consequently we are starting to build up our list of vets that are recommended by people who love their bunnies and demand THE BEST!

A rabbit savvy vet is worth his / her weight in GOLD!!

If yours is such, we would be delighted to receive your recommendation.

Recommendation from a Rabbit Sanctuary in Dorset:

I ran a Rabbit Sanctuary here in Dorset for 9 years. My vet practise always has good small animal vets. It is a large practise with it's own lab and hospital. They provide a 24 hour emergency service. They have dealt with countless bunnies I have rescued over the years. Many of the bunnies had serious health problems and all were dealt with to a high standard of care.

Recommendation from Agatha's Annex in Harpenden.

Nine Lives Vets in Redbourn is very rabbit friendly. They don't see dogs from or at the same area/time and mainly deal with cats, rabbits and smaller exotics. They are very supportive of my rescue and have seen about 50 rabbits from me for various reasons in the 2 years they have been open.

Emily Boreham is the chief vet but all other staff are equally experienced.
